Whatever weighs on your heart this morning — financial pressure, a strained relationship, fear of what tomorrow holds, a body that doesn't move the way it once did — the Lord invites you to lay it down. Not just to manage it. To cast it. The Greek word here pictures throwing something off your shoulders entirely.
You were never meant to carry it alone. The same God who holds galaxies in their courses holds you. He sees the small thing you haven't told anyone. He knows the prayer you can't quite find words for. And He cares — deeply, personally, and right now.
Take a moment before the rest of your day begins. Name what you're carrying. Hand it to Him. And step forward in the peace He promises.
In His Hands,
Rev. George H. Stoddard
Father, I cast every burden onto You today. Where I have been carrying what was never mine to bear, take it. Where I have feared, give me Your peace. Where I have doubted, strengthen my faith. Thank You that You see me and care for me. In Jesus' name, amen.
Sit a while. Let the truth of God's Word wash over you in story, song, and Spirit-led teaching.
